Patricia O'Brien is the Ambassador of Ireland to France and will be the guest speaker at our lunch on Thursday, April 19th, 2018. She will speak about the impact of 'Brexit' on Ireland.
She has had a distinguished career as an international and national Public Servant. She served as the Permanent Representative (Ambassador) of Ireland to the United Nations and other International Organizations at Geneva. She was appointed by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to serve as United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Legal Affairs and United Nations Legal Counsel. Prior to joining the UN, Ms O'Brien had an influential career as Legal Adviser to the Department of Foreign Affairs and has acted as legal Adviser the Attorney General in Ireland.
She is uniquely qualified professionally and personally to speak about the impact of 'Brexit' on Ireland and to be an informed and entertaining luncheon speaker.
