We cordially invite you to
the Club's annual
Thanksgiving Gala Dinner
at the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature
Thursday, November 22nd at 7:30 P.M.
Our evening will include pre-dinner champagne, full Thanksgiving dinner with roasted turkey, a private visit to the Museum's collections and temporary exhibit, and after-dinner drinks in the Club Room.
We will visit the exhbit Country Life, Masterpieces from the Mellon Collection.
Exceptionally, the works collected by the Mellon family and bequeathed to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA), are at the Museum of Hunting and Nature. They are works that can be enjoyed from the perspective of art history, but also testify to the awakening in Western culture a new sensitivity to nature in the wake of an era of massive industrial development and urbanization.
The last few years at the Museum have been special and memorable evenings, we hope you will join us to continue the tradition!
The Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature (Museum of Hunting and Nature) is a private hunting and nature museum in the heart of the Marais. The museum has been characterized by the Smithsonian magazine as "one of the most rewarding and inventive in Paris", and is described in tourist guidebooks and other media as quirky, astonishing, strange, and eclectic.
