Mohammed bin Salman, a.k.a. MBS, is the crown prince of Saudi Arabia-the first grand-son of Ibn al-Saoud, the founder of the kingdom which bears his name, to ascend to power.  He wants to profoundly transform his country. Or does he?

At just 32 years old, MBS leads one of the richest and at the same time most oppressive societies in the world.  Do the young people of Saudi Arabia or the world see him as a visionary, a reformer or an opportunist? Where will he lead his country of unlimited petroleum reserves, immense military and economic power and a growing political role in a chaotic Middle East? 

Christine Ockrent  is a world renowned journalist and broadcaster.

She is, among other honors, former Editor-in-Chief of L'Express, Chevalier of the Legion of Honour, on the Board of Directors of Reporters Without Borders, and Officer the Belgian Ordre de Leopold, and a regular contributor to Radio France Culture.

She has written numerous French language books relating to political matters.
