Come join us at The Grand Steeple Chase of Paris; one of the three most famous steeple chases worldwide!
The Grand Steeple-Chase Of Paris
The event was first held on May 25, 1874, and it was initially known as the Grand National de France. It was intended to be the French equivalent of the Grand National, a famous steeplechase in England. It was originally a handicap race, and it was open to horses aged four or older. The inaugural running was contested over 6,400 meters, and this was cut to 6,000 meters in its second year. The race was given its present title, the Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris, in 1876. Its distance was extended to 6,500 meters in 1889.
This afternoon you will witness the best races of the season. More importantly, you will see the UK and France’s best horses competing on steeplechases and hurdles.
Our event includes: general entry to the race field including parking, brunch with wine and coffee will be served on the 4th floor with fabulous panoramic views, as well as private access to the Tribune overlooking the river jump, a legendary obstacle.
