invites you to a private guided tour (in English) of
Charles Ray
On display for the first time in a French public institution, the Centre Pompidou is dedicating a monographic exhibition to Charles Ray undeniably one of the major figures in contemporary American sculpture. Known for his strange and enigmatic sculptures, Ray's work is conceptualized by an in-depth knowledge of the history of sculptural art - from ancient Greek sculptures to the creations of some of his contemporaries.
The exhibition, curated in close dialogue with the artist himself, offers a unique journey through a landscape engaging both the mind and body, with a representative collection that beautifully illustrates the different facets of his work.
Join us for this private, guided tour (in English) of the works of a singular artist who's career has been said to "easily be among the most important of the last twenty years".
