With his extensive diplomatic background, most recently as French Ambassador to Israel, few are as adept as His Excellency Eric Danon to candidly talk about the current state of affairs in Israel and how it impacts the U.S., France and the world.
Join us as His Excellency shares his expert views on the ongoing war with the Hamas, mounting tensions with neighbouring Lebanon, the diplomatic solutions offered by the US and France, the global consequences, to name a few!

Eric Danon served as the French Ambassador to Israel from August 2019 to July 2023. He is now an international consultant and a board member of multiple foundations and associations, teaching at three French universities as well as Sorbonne Abu Dhabi.
During his diplomatic career (1986-2023), he focused on foresight, international security, combating criminal threats, and cooperation/development. Notable positions include Deputy Director General for Political and Security Affairs at the Quai d'Orsay, Director General of the Higher Council for Strategic Training and Research, and Ambassador for Disarmament in Geneva. He conducted negotiations on nuclear issues, terrorism, and organized crime, and represented France at international conferences and negotiations.
Prior to his diplomatic career, he spent seven years in the private sector implementing projects in Francophone Africa.
He holds degrees from École normale supérieure de Saint-Cloud, Sciences Po Paris, and ÉNA, and is decorated as a Knight of the Legion of Honor and the National Order of Merit.
