invites you to a private guided tour (in English) of
Sandro Botticelli
Undoubtedly one of the most well-known Renaissance artists in the world, Sandro Botticelli's life and creative genius still remain something of a mystery to this day. Consistently alternating between the production of one-off paintings and works issued in series, oftentimes completed by his assistants.
Arranged in both a chronological as well as thematic order, the carefully curated exhibition at the Musée Jacquemart-André pays homage to Botticelli’s workshop strategy, laboratory of ideas and place of artistic training, characteristic of the Italian Renaissance.
Presenting Botticelli in his multi-faceted role as a creative artist, entrepreneur and master ("capobottega"), the exhibition beautifully illustrates his stylistic development, the connections between his work and his milieu - his career a testament to the economic development and profound changes that transformed the rule of the Medici.
Join us for this not to be missed exhibition of a true Italian master!
