Paris boasts nearly 500 green spaces, making it one of Europe's greenest capitals, and the Luxembourg Garden is undeniably its crown jewel.
Join us for a delightful two-hour tour in English as our guide extraordinaire, Amy Kupec Larue of Garden Guide Paris, takes us on a private stroll through this picturesque garden. Steeped in history and overflowing with diverse flora, the Luxembourg Garden is a treasure trove for both history and botany lovers.
Once an aristocratic villa and a monastery orchard, the land was transformed in the 17th century by Marie de Medici, who longed for the gardens of her Florentine home. Her passion is evident: 2,000 elm trees were planted before construction even began!
Having survived revolutions and renovations, the Luxembourg Garden now offers a tranquil escape amidst the city's buzz. Sunbathers lounge by the octagonal pool, while others find romantic nooks by the Medici fountain. Thousands of flowers bloom throughout the seasons, adding to the charm of the French and English-style gardens and accented by an intriguing collection of statues. Even a miniature Statue of Liberty awaits discovery!
Register now to secure your spot on this exclusive tour and uncover the stories and beauty of this captivating Parisian oasis!
