Bridging the Divide: Rediscovering the Enlightenment Principles to Heal America's Democracy
Seth David Radwell is an internationally recognized business executive, thought leader, and award-winning author of American Schism: How the Two Enlightenments Hold the Secret to Healing Our Nation. With a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, he is a frequent commentator and independent political analyst featured on cable news and in major print and digital media.
American Schism, which traces the historical roots of America’s political divisions, earned the International Book Award for Best General Nonfiction and widespread acclaim for its insightful exploration of how we can overcome today’s polarized democracy. Radwell’s research highlights a proven "magic formula" for bridging divides—used successfully in the past but neglected in contemporary discourse.
As CEO of The Proactiv Company until 2018, Seth led the world’s top skincare brand for acne. He previously served as President & Chief Revenue Officer of Guthy-Renker, a global leader in direct-to-consumer beauty. His leadership extends to transformative roles as President of e-Scholastic, revolutionizing the digital strategies of the global children’s publishing giant, and as President of Bookspan/Bertelsmann, overseeing iconic brands like Book of the Month Club and Doubleday Book Club. Earlier, he pioneered ecommerce strategies as SVP of Content at Prodigy Services Company and spent six years driving innovation at McKinsey & Company.
Seth graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia College, Columbia University, and continues to be a leading voice in business and political thought.
