The Role of the Embassy in Supporting the American Community in Paris.
Bob Hannan is currently Consul General at the Embassy of the United States in France. But this is not his first promenade here. Interspersed among tours in Haiti, Tanzania, Russia, India, and Rwanda are previous stints in Paris. In Washington, he filled multiple positions at the Department of State and served as a Congressional Fellow on Capitol Hill. Bob was born in Boston, Massachusetts and grew up there. He attended Georgetown University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Affairs, and learning to pronounce the letter “R”. During his Foreign Service career, he earned a master’s degree while on assignment at the Department of Defense’s Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy. He is living in Paris with his wife, Lorrie Clark, an international development professional. Intellectually, he has accepted Tom Brady’s move to Tampa Bay but he still has some emotions to work through. Tuesday November 10th, 2020 at 12:30PM
